Financial Institution Advisory Group, Inc., – 2011 to Present – Spring Hill, TN – Executive Advisor.  Consultants and advisors to the banking industry.  Developers and presenters of education seminars and workshops to the banking industry.

Belle Aire Ministry Partners, Inc., 2010 to Present – Spring Hill, TN – Founder and President.  Not for profit organization.  Working with offenders and ex-offenders with reentry ministry, workforce readiness ministry and workplace ministry. 

Independent Advisor for Cumberland Advisory Group, LLC, 2009 to 2010 – Nashville, TN.  Advising services for a privately owned firm that is a purchaser and reseller of non-performing residential mortgage notes and properties securing these mortgage notes.  Advising assignments include the reviewing of documents prior to purchase, establishing financial projections, monitoring note payment performance, and advising the business owner on action plans for the individual notes including loan modification, foreclosure, and the need for property rehabs.

George S. May International Company, 2008 – 2009, Park Ridge, IL – Staff Executive.  International company that serves the needs of small and mid-sized businesses with advisors showing business owners how to boost productivity, reduce waste and increase profitability.  Founded in 1925.  Company has 800 employees.  Consulted with eighteen businesses in twelve states.  Consulting

areas of emphasis were financial management and methods to improve overall company efficiency.

Fritzco Services, Inc., and related companies (2003 – 2008) Franklin and Murfreesboro, TN – President.  Privately owned investment and consulting firm.

·                  Analyzed the business, researched the industry, and purchased the R.F. May Company (drapery hardware manufactured and wholesaler) with some partners.  After the purchase the operations were improved; the business started accepting credit cards, which improved sales; several new products were developed; a new product catalog was developed; and the website was improved, which increased sales.  RF May sales increased by 18% in 18 months.  I sold my interest in the company to the remaining partner in January 2007.

·                  Purchased, rehabbed, sold or rented in excess of 25 residential properties.

·                  Instructed over 20 homebuyer classes and two financial fitness classes.

·                  Coordinated the first Section 8 to home ownership loan in Murfreesboro, TN.  Originated residential home mortgage and commercial real estate loans.

·                  Business Broker with Beltway Business Brokerage, Inc. listing and selling businesses.  Involved in the sale of several business enterprises.

Comptroller of the Currency (Federal Government Treasury Agency), 1986 – 2003.  Federal Agency.  Charters, regulates and supervises all national banks.  The agency has 3,104 employees, 91 locations and supervises 69% of all banking assets in the United States.

Assistant Deputy Comptroller (1997 – 2003), Field Manager (1996 – 1997), Nashville, TN: Field Manager (1991 – 1996), Iowa City, IA: Field Examiner (1986 – 1991), Wichita, KS.

·                  Operated as part of the Senior Management Group for the Southeastern District while managing the Nashville Field Office.

·                  Supervised 35 national banks with assets over six billion dollars and 15 employees including both professional and non-professional staff members.

·                  Coordinated affordable housing issues (common lending pool established with area banks for Community Reinvestment Act compliance) in Nashville between bankers, political leaders and community development organizers.

·                  Taught and developed financial courses (financial management and commercial lending) for bankers and examiners.  Taught and developed office management (practical management) and exam management courses (project management) for bank examiners.

·                  Helped charter new banks and assisted in the development of several bank’s multi-branch operations.

·                  Instructed and worked with non-US bank regulators including examiners from Slovakia and other former USSR countries, Mongolia, and Korea.

·                  Made presentations and participated in regulatory panels for the Tennessee Banker’s Association and the Iowa Banker’s Association.

·                  Identified the need and assisted in the development of examiner skills in credit card examinations which lead to the establishment of dedicated credit card examiners.

Prior to the Comptroller of the Currency position, I had eleven years of experience in banking, real estate development and business development.  This experience was at both the management and non-management levels.
